Our ECoWs undertook protected species surveys and monitoring across the project providing advice to both Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) and Balfour Beatty.

We provided onsite advice and support for ecological and environmental constraints, including protected species and habitats, soil management, water management and drainage, reinstatement and restoration.

We have worked with Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) providing ecological and environmental management support for the removal of the overhead line and undergrounding of cables in the Cairngorms National Park.

Works included dismantling and remove the existing overhead line and undergrounding of the cable.

Ellendale Environmental ecologists and ECoW provided ecological surveys to identify constraints such as badgers and nesting osprey. Our ECoW was on site during the works undertaking mitigation for protected species including electrofishing of burns and watching briefs around sensitive environmental areas.
